WHAT YOU CAN PRICE ON WEBDUCT AND WHAT GOES TO A QUOTE

How to Order Ductwork Online, and When It Needs a Quote

Duct and Fittings Price as You Type, and Made-to-Spec Work Gets a Quote

WebDuct prices any duct or fitting whose price depends only on its sizes. A piece goes to a quote when its price depends on more than that.

You can order ductwork online through WebDuct, our ordering portal, once your company has an account. Straight duct and the fittings we build, from elbows and offsets to transitions, takeoffs, and plenums, are listed with instant prices. Pieces whose price depends on more than their sizes start with a quote. That covers grease duct, lined duct, curbs, kitchen stainless, and anything installed. This guide shows which route each piece takes, what to have ready, and what happens once you submit.

Can You Order It on WebDuct, or Does It Need a Quote?

The route depends on whether the sizes alone set the price. Find each piece on your list below.

What WebDuct Is and How It Prices an Order

WebDuct is the online portal we use to price and take duct orders. Knowing who sets it up explains what you'll find in it.

Because the order goes straight to us, nobody retypes your sizes. That takes one chance of a mistake out of the job. Your company needs a WebDuct account before anyone can order, so call or send a request and say it's for WebDuct.

Ordering Ductwork Online on WebDuct, Step by Step

Ordering online works best with the duct list in front of you. Each piece is built from its sizes.

  1. Log in with your company account.

  2. Pick each piece and enter its sizes.

  3. See the price as you go.

  4. Submit the order. It goes straight to our computer.

How to measure ductwork for a custom fitting shows how to take sizes the right way round. How to specify a duct fitting covers the joints and bends beyond the sizes.

What Goes into a Quote, and Why a Person Prices It

A piece goes to a quote when its price depends on more than its sizes. These projects usually need a quote:

Welded work like grease duct

If the duct is welded to a kitchen's drawings, its price depends on the welds, the slope, and the access openings. A person prices those from the drawings.

Curbs sized to a unit

If a curb or curb adapter has to fit a unit, we need the model number and sizes. Then we price it to match.

Kitchen stainless

If you need counters, sinks, or shelves, they're made to your specs. Each is priced based on its size, sink count, and edge details.

Lined duct

If your spec calls for lining, we buy it in and fit the type you need for the duct. The lining changes the price, so it's quoted.

Anything installed

If you want the duct installed, the site sets the price. Access, height, and parking all change the hours.

A shape WebDuct doesn't list

If your fitting isn't in the list, send a drawing or sketch with sizes. If we have to draw it, a drawing fee applies, credited when you order.

Site conditions that change a ductwork installation cost explain what moves an install price. Shop drawing fees and design assist explains the drawing fee.

When Each Piece on a Mixed Order Is Ready

Most jobs use both routes at once. Typical lead times count from the approved order or drawings and any deposit, and depend on the size of the order.

PieceRouteTypical lead time
Straight ductWebDuct1 to 2 days
Listed fittingsWebDuct1 to 2 days
Grease ductA quote1 to 2 days
Stainless kitchen piecesA quote1 to 2 weeks
Curbs and anything installedA quoteConfirmed when it's quoted

Pricing both routes together keeps the job on one schedule. Sheet metal fabrication lead time explains when a lead time starts.

Mistakes That Slow Down an Online Duct Order

An online order is only as good as the sizes typed into it. These are the slips that send one back.

What Happens After You Submit a WebDuct Order

Your order reaches us the moment you submit it. From there, it runs the same way every time.

  1. We check it before it's cut. If something looks off, we ask before cutting.

  2. Work starts once the order is approved and any deposit is in. That's when the lead time begins.

  3. Duct and fittings typically take 1 to 2 days. The time depends on the size of the order.

  4. Pick it up or have it delivered. We deliver by our van or a delivery service.

  5. If the mistake was ours, we remake it. There's no charge for fixing our own error.

When Ordering Online Fits the Job, and When to Call Instead

WebDuct suits a duct list you can size yourself. A call suits anything you're not sure of.

Order online

  • A duct package you've sized from the drawings
  • Listed fittings, square-to-round included
  • A repeat order of pieces you've bought before
  • A price to drop into your bid

Call or send a request

  • Grease duct, curbs, or kitchen stainless
  • Only a sketch or photos to go on
  • Duct you want installed
  • A size you're not sure of

If you're unsure about a size, call before you submit. A two-minute check costs less than a fitting made twice.

What to Have Ready Before You Log In

With these in hand, a duct package can be priced in one sitting. Anything left over goes on the quote request.

0 of 10 ready

More guides on ordering duct sit in HVAC Ductwork and Fittings. Stock duct fittings or fittings made to size help you decide which pieces need making at all.
